The Headache Heartache

Thanks to a neurology professor at Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, the popular headache excuse will probably not get wives off the hook anymore in the bedroom. James Couch asked 84 women who suffered from migraines how having sex affected their heads and found that for 61 percent of respondents, sex gave them some relief. Additionally, 20 percent of these women said that having sex during a migraine would cure it entirely.

But in a cruel twist of biological fate, sex can actually cause a headache in men, ranging from a mild one that gets worse with time to an excruciatingly painful one. These headaches in men, known as coital cephalalgia, are triggered by an orgasm.

So, ladies, from now on, instead of saying "not tonight, honey, I have a headache," you should be saying "not tonight, honey, I might give you a headache."
