Psychic Jailed in Sorcery Scam
Bubble, bubble, this telepath is trouble. A Republic of Cyprus man looking for a friendly reading was told by a
69-year-old psychic that his life was in danger and the only way he could be saved was by bringing her a spoon, an egg, a plate, a urine sample, and some underwear. And don't forget the money—5,000 Cypriot pounds to be exact. According to the psychic foe, the man's estranged wife and mother-in-law put a curse on him that would kill him in 22 days if he didn't pony up the cash and allow her to perform a ritual with the unusual accoutrements. The man filed a complaint and the psychic was thrown in jail for 20 days for practicing sorcery.
