A racial picture depicting President Barack Obama as a shoe-shine man and Sarah Palin as his customer has caused a workplace problem for an employee at the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT). According to reports, the 73-year-old state worker forwarded an e-mail—titled "Picture of the year"—with the photo attachment to a handful of coworkers, as well as people who do not work at the organization. Someone who was offended by the e-mail, which included the message "It appears he has found his niche," complained to state officials.

Love for the pig and its fat, was celebrated in western Ukraine by holding the biggest pork festival ever. Traditionally pork fat (Salo) is eaten in small slices with black bread, garlic and vodka. But at the festival the norm was changed in the bigger the portion the better. 51-year old Volodymr Stryhaniv broke all the records: in just twenty minutes he managed to woof down one kilogram of pork fat.
